Kurt Wewer is a cook, farmer, forager, musician, hunter, husband, and father. Born & raised in south central Pennsylvania, time outside and gathering of family and friends around great food and drink was built into everyday life. Cooking and playing guitar from the age of 5, creativity has always been the driving force behind what makes him thrive. His early days cooking mostly simple, peasant Italian food beside his Mother and Nanna formed the building blocks of the waste not, want not, nose to tail, seasonal approach that fortified his first restaurant, The Garlic Poet Restaurant & Bar, as a casual fine dining staple in the area. Currently a full time farmer and private chef for a private residence near Hershey, PA, Chef Kurt is offering his services for hire once again to the public.
